G2 red brake caliper paint kit on 2001 Porsche Boxster with 18 inch SSR GT3 Wheels.
May 14th, 2008 by Bill - G2I got an e-mail from Rich Dalanayac the other day, he had used our G2 red caliper paint kit on his 2001 Porsche Boxster with 18 inch SSR GT3 Wheels. He loved the product, and had this to say:
I just used your G2 Red Caliper Paint Kit on my 2001 Porsche Boxster, and love the results! Your paint kit makes my calipers look just as good or BETTER than the factory Porsche red brakes! This is a terrific product. Thanks guys!
Rich was also kind enough to include some pictures along with his e-mail and when I opened them up, I have to say I was floored… This is one of the best applications I’ve seen, and I’ve seen a lot! But don’t take my word for it, check them out for yourself…

The G2 Red Brake Caliper Paint was a great choice for this caliper!

This side shot shows how the G2 Red calipers really accent the rims!

The G2 Red caliper paint makes the rear caliper pop!

Of course the G2 Red caliper paint looks just as good in the front!

A great look at the rear from another angle!

An awesome side shot from another angle!
I want to thank Rich for forwarding on these great pictures, we think they are some of the best we have ever seen! I hope they will inspire you as much as they have inspired everyone here. I am always amazed at the drastic difference a little color can make!
As always if you have any questions or comments I’m always here to answer them, and I would love to see your results…You can submit installation pics to G2 here to be featured…
So…
What are you waiting for??? Go paint your calipers already!

Question: were you able to get the “Porsche” label on the caliper?
November 19th, 2008 at 3:04 pm
@Brandon- yes, I was able to get the Porsche script on the calipers. I simply waited until the G2 paint had dried, then applied the Porsche script decals on the calipers and then clearcoat sprayed over them to protect the decals. Came out perfect.

Courtney, you buy the G2 paint from any of their affiliated stores (shown on the left side of this webpage). I just used their red caliper paint kit. I then bought the Porsche caliper decals from ebay and then applied them onto the calipers after the paint dried, and then clearcoated over them after that.
Hope that helps.

@Courtney – Rich is absolutely correct! You can purchase the caliper paint from any of the distributors listed on the left hand sidebar listed under “Purchase”.
We don’t carry any decals, so I couldn’t reccomend anyone in particular… Although a quick internet search will yield scores of choices.
Let me know if you need anything else!

Hmmm…I have a 911 C2 and the black calipers always bothered me. I have to try this and learn how to take the calipers off. I see that ebay has high heat tolerant Porsche decals.
