Today we are showcasing Wally Trine’s 2000 GMC Sierra. Wally used our G2 black caliper paint kit on his 2000 GMC Sierra 7 years ago and had this to say about the experience…
I used your Black G2 Brake caliper paint on my 2000 GMC Sierra calipers 7 years ago and today, 110,000 miles later they still look like new without any maintenance.
The calipers were rusted after just 2 years with the OEM black paint, so with the wheels removed I used a wire brush & your paint prep/cleaner to clean the calipers per your instructions and applied G2 (2 or 3 coats, I can’t remember). 110k miles and 7 years later they still look like new without any maintenance.
My Sierra is my daily driver seeing some very harsh corrosive conditions in Michigan. In the winter months, I run my Sierra thru the touchless auto car wash once a week to remove the road salt. G2 is the best automotive paint product I’ve ever used and I’m proud to say you manufacture this outstanding product here in the U.S.A.

Wally removed the front wheel to get a better pic, That is an Edelbrook IAS shock that was powder coated and it’s now all rust. All the area that is still nice and shiny black is where Wally painted G2 7 years ago!
The rear wheel Wally applied black G2 on the outer caliper holder and left the aluminum caliper it’s natural color. The black G2 even on the rear still looks like new!
Behind the rear wheel, there used to be an OEM black round spash shield the size of the rotor to protect the back side of the rear rotors. Both rear splash shields rusted away and fell off about a year ago. Even the brake rotors are severly rusted!
As you can see, the only chassis parts that haven’t rusted or corroded on the bottom of my 2000 GMC Sierra is the brake calipers where I painted with G2 Brake caliper paint 7 years ago.
