Why is my G2 High Temperature Brake Caliper Paint System Set Paint Can Not Full?
December 16th, 2011 by BillHEvery once in a while I get a call or an email from a customer wondering if perhaps their kit was short filled because the can is only about half full. I assure you this is not the case. Now I know what you’re thinking, but before you rush to judgment allow me to explain…
The G2 High Temperature Brake Caliper Paint System Set contains approximately 3 1/2 liquid oz. of paint and approximately 1/2 liquid oz. of reactor, yielding 4 liquid oz. total when mixed, which is more than enough paint for 4 standard brake calipers or two drums.
The label on the can may indicate 4 oz. but that refers to the amount of paint inside… Not the volume of the can itself! The can is actually an 8 oz. can! Upon receiving a kit for the first time it may appear that your can was short filled because it is not full to the top. This is actually intentional, this way you can add the reactor directly to the can and mix the two thoroughly without having to worry about spills.
4 ozs. of paint in an 8oz. can = Half full can!
See! I told you I could explain!
What are you waiting for??? Go paint your calipers already! If you have any questions, as always I value your feedback, you can contact me via e-mail at billh@g2usa.com, or if you prefer to call me, I am here to answer your questions Monday through Friday 9 AM/CST – 5 PM/CST at 1-847-388-3901!
