Which brake caliper paint color should I use?
December 22nd, 2010 by BillH
I can’t tell you how many e-mails I get asking me which color brake caliper paint should be used on which color car, or which color Engine paint should be used as an accent color. The thing is… I don’t know. To be honest no one knows, it’s a matter of aesthetics… It all comes down to personal choice. There may be someone out there who thinks purple calipers look great on a lime green car! Hey who are we to judge?
So if you want to know how a specific color is going to look on your car… I can offer an opinion, but that’s all it will be simply an opinion. By the way… For the record I would never put purple calipers on a lime green car! If you want an opinion please feel free to e-mail me at billh@g2usa.com and I’ll be more than happy to offer mine.
A better route would probably be to request a sample of the colors you are interested in. We offer sample swatches of all available colors at no cost, so you can actually see what the color will look like on your car. If you would like a sample request sent out, once again all you have to do is e-mail me at billh@g2usa.com and let me know which colors you are interested in and what your mailing address is and I’ll have some samples mailed out to you!
So what are you waiting for? Get your samples today! Even better yet… While you are waiting for your samples to arrive… Why not become a member of our new G2 Performance Styling Products Car Club? Becoming a member is absolutely FREE, and couldn’t be simpler. All you have to do to is request membership and submit pictures of your ride with either our High Temperature Brake Caliper Paint System Set or our High Temperature Engine Paint System Set to be featured on our website. That’s it!
This car is why we added pink!
December 5th, 2010 by BillHSo as I was on CarDomain.com checking out the Kul Kota I found this pink Mustang… which is awesome!

These are the first end user pics of the Pink G2 Brake Caliper Paint that I have seen, and I have to tell you I think they look great. Candy even has step by step pics on how to prep and paint your calipers! My only question is… Candy? Why don’t you submit your ride to be featured?
If any of you know Candy, tell her three things for me…
- We love the mods she has made to her Stang!
- We want to feature her car in the installs section of the main site… pretty please?
- And finally, I have a free Mustang Keychain and Pink G2 Engine Paint Kit with her name on it… I just need to know where to ship them.
By the way Candy the idea for the pink interior accents… Sweet!

November 26th, 2010 by BillHToday we feature Brian Torok’s 2004 Indigo Ink Pearl Lexus IS300 with 18 inch Katana ZR5 wheels, Brembo drilled and slotted rotors and Red G2 brake caliper paint!
This car features the most beautiful brake caliper paint application I have ever seen… Hands down! Seriously… If you are on the fence as to whether or not you want to paint your calipers, one look at this 2004 Indigo Ink Pearl Lexus IS300 with 18 inch Katana ZR5 wheels, Brembo drilled and slotted rotors and Red G2 brake caliper paint illustrates exactly why you should!
Have a look for yourself:
Brian says:
The car is a work in progress, but mods to date are:
- 18″ Katana ZR5 wheels, hyper black with a machined lip
- Brembo rotors
- G2 Red painted calipers with caliper stickers from MotoGFX.com
- Window tint
- KNN Fuel Injection Performance Kit, generation 2 intake
- Tanabe Medallion Touring cat-back exhaust
- Custom XM radio install
- JL 12″ subwoofer and amp
- Swift lowering springs
- Clear side markers
All mods have been performed by myself (except for the tint). I had never worked on cars before I got the IS300. I’ve learned a lot from the online communities I belong to. Thanks to everyone from www.my.is and www.clublexus.com for your insight, instruction, and inspiration. Thanks also go out to Timothy Bui for taking those awesome pictures for me. More to come… I have a body kit in the mail, and will be doing some lighting mods in the future, as well as a complete audio system overhaul, and eventually forced induction.
