  • General Requirements
  • Photography Tips
  • Image Editing
  • Sending Images
  • Privacy Statement

    General Requirements: [top]

    • Submit at least two images: one of complete car (preferably from 3/4 front view) and one detail(closeup) of application.
    • PC compatible images only. Sorry, no MAC or Linux-specific formats at this time.
    • No more than 500K total submission if by email.
    • Specific size if submitted by email: no less than 500x300 pixels, no larger than 600x400 pixels @ no greater than 300dpi.

    Photography Tips: [top]

    • Set digital cameras to highest capture setting for best quality image.
    • Take pictures during daytime to avoid grainy/gray-ed out backgrounds and/or bright flash points on vehicle.
    • Avoid at all costs taking photos under flourescent lights as they can drastically alter color perception.
    • Do not send print-outs or photos as we are unable to scan them for you.
    • Remember, it is better to adjust images in photo editing software than "in-camera."

    Image Editing Tips: [top]

    • Be sure to check the pixel dimensions of your image if submitting by email (see above).
    • 300dpi is not necessary for web images. Typical resolutions are 72dpi for .jpg and .gif.
    • Thumbnails would be appreciated (150x100pixels), but not absolutely necessary.
    • Take note that images will turn out much better if pixel dimensions are adjusted *before* setting resolution to 72dpi.
    • RGB mode is preferred to CMYK or Index for submissions by email.

Submitting Images to G2 USA™: [top]

    • Send all internet submissions to info@g2usa.com with subject "Customer Ride Submission."
    • Include any description you like, including any custom steps not in the original instructions or details you would like to share about yourself or your car. These descriptions may not appear with your image, but are greatly useful.
    • Feel free to submit images by CD or ZIP disk. Note that these types of submissions can include images in any resolution/file size as long as they are either .tiff or .jpg format for PC. Send media submissions to the address at the end of this page.
    • Materials submitted cannot be returned.
    • Again, please do not send us photographs or prints because we cannot scan them for you.

    Privacy Statement / Disclaimer: [top]

    • Privacy: G2 USA™ will not sell or otherwise distrubute any personal information submitted in connection with this program. Reuse of contact information will only be in regards to submissions.
    • Release: By submitting materials to G2 USA™, you give us full permission to use them in relation to this program. We will not use your images for other personal or business purposes without your explicit permission.
    • Disclaimer: G2 USA™ reserves the right to refuse any submission for any reason. G2 USA™ also reserves the right to review/edit materials without explanation or permission if it is in the best interests of our company, customers, or visitors to g2usa.com.
    • The above recommendations are by no means a complete tutorial on photography or image editing. Please do not contact G2 USA™ with technical questions about how to prepare your images for submission. There are many resources available online and in bookstores that can teach you valuable graphic design/photography skills.
    • Most important: Be Creative! We love originality and fun!
